Update on Beyond Blue Ridge

I heard back from the publisher. They didn't feel the story fit their catalog because it's set in the 1970s. They said it was a hard decision, but because it's set in the '70s it’s neither contemporary or historical. So, I doubt they'll want my Word War II story either for the same reason.

I can't change the time the story is set, because Beyond Blue Ridge deals with the parents of some characters in my contemporary series. Also my Word War II story deals with the parents of some of the characters in Beyond Blue Ridge.

So, where do I go from here? I haven't figured that out yet. I'll update as I can.

Didn't get much done after all.

I haven't done much writing or editing lately. Our central A/C unit went out on us, and it's been horribly hot in the house. I now have a small window unit in here and finally am getting cooled down enough to possibly get some work done. We have two more small units that are waiting to be installed. From what we can tell, the small unit is drawing a lot less power than the main one did. We're still doing some checking though on what it's pulling. With luck, our electric bill will go down some. I'll be calling someone I just heard about and see if he can come look at the main unit and find out what's wrong with it and how much it'll take to fix.

Submitted a story

A few days ago, I finished and submitted my 'Blue Ridge' story. The title I came up with, with the help of some friends of mine, thanks Shannon and Deb, is 'Beyond Blue Ridge'. Now to wait and see if the publisher likes it. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Now, I'm working on another story or two or three. LOL

Kick it off!

Well, here's my kick-off post for this new blog. I'm hoping to get several writers on here who will give exerpts of books they have coming out, when they'll be out and where to find them. This blog will focus on those who write paranormal fiction.

I write about vampires, werewolves and other paranormal beings. I don't, however, write horror. There's more romance and other elements in my stories than horror. My main stories are sort of a written soap opera. Intertwined story lines with more than one couple. As the story moves along, more couples will be telling their stories as well as keeping up with the original couples. It might be confusing to some, but anyone who likes complicated stories to sink their teeth into, should check out my Midnight Hotel series. Unpublished at this time, but I do have the first chapter of "Midnight Hotel: A New Beginning" up on my web site.
